Rubber Band

I did what I had to do.

I did some hardest decision that has only one result, PAIN.

I'm letting go.

I'm moving on.

I can only take this much.

I'm not gonna pull and stretch the rubber farther.

I'm frightened that if I do so, the rubber might break and I may not be able to glue it back.

So Im'ma have to stop here.

I'd rather be hurt as early as now than later.

I'm not gonna sit here and endure the pain 

just to get my heart still ripped out in the end.

I'm not sure if what I did was done out of selfishness...

but I do know that what I did was the right thing.

How did I know?

I just did.
